January 2011 Classes

Hello stampers!

Here are the classes going on this week and the rest of the month. Stay tuned for more classes to come in January. Saturday, January 15th
Copic & My Favorite Things Card Class With Copic Regional Instructor for Western USA Jennie Black
2:00 – 5:00
Come join us in making 4 cards featuring Copic markers and My Favorite Things stamps. Jennie will walk you through several Copic techniques while coloring these amazing images. Cards include various mediums that you will learn to color with Copics…i.e: wood, lace, metal, rhinestones, pearls and more. We will also be using the Copic airbrush system on several cards. Bring: Basic class supplies including foam tape, glue dots, scissors, and adhesive plus your Copic markers. If you do not have your own Copic markers, you may rent them for $5 cash or purchase markers at a class discount.

Coffee & Dessert with Carole Maguire

Coffee shops have become very popular, so why not make some cards with a coffee theme. This class uses stamps from Impression Obsession, Our Craft Lounge, and Stampendous. So come and kick up your heels for some delicious fun! Bring your Copic markers and join the fun with Carole.

Saturday, January 22nd
Copic Introduction Class with Lori Barnett
9:00 – 12:00
Copic markers have quickly become all the rage with stampers, cardmakers and even scrapbookers. I can’t wait to show you how these markers beautiful blending capabilities make creating gorgeous stamped cards fun and easy!! This intro. Class covers basic coloring and blending techniques, what inks and paper to use with them-plus much more! You will be amazed with the wonderful things you can do with these markers! You will also receive supplies to create 2 cards using your new coloring skills.
NOTE: If you have your own Copic markers, feel free to bring them. Make sure you have all your markers labeled with your name!

Sassy Little Sweethearts with Kelly Wann
1:00 – 4:00
Come join me in making five fabulous cards using stamps featuring some cutie pie kids with attitude. Whether showing off their bossy smile, getting into mischief, or just plain enjoying life’s little pleasures, these ultra-realistic images are sure to win your heart. Take time to practice with Copic markers, learn “a thing or two,” relax, and have a great time!! Can’t wait to see you there!!


Class Supplies
Always bring your basic stamp kit to class. This includes scissors, adhesive of choice i.e. double stick tape, glue dots, etc. dimensional foam tape. Other items to consider bringing to make your class time more enjoyable are: small trimmer, ruler, bone folder, tweezers, quickie glue pen, etc. If you are taking a Copic class, please bring the markers you own with you. This will make the class flow easier and you won’t be waiting on someone else to finish. Please make sure all your supplies are marked with your name.
