New magazines have arrived. I just love relaxing with a new issue and looking at all the wonderful ideas & creations. There are so many talented stampers and crafters that have loads of goodies to share with the world. I can't tell you how many times I have looked through a magazine only to see a technique that I totally forgot about - or an idea of how to use one of my stamps. Speaking of stamps, look at the front page of the Stamper's Sampler. See that fabulous bookmark...that Snowman by Penny Black is the stamp I used for last Saturday's Make & Take card. Several of you purchased that stamp - so there's a sample of a fun project you can make with it.

Class Pictures
I really enjoy seeing pictures of everyone having fun during classes. Most of the time I'm so busy in the store that I don't have a spare moment to peek in and see what you all are doing -- especially on Saturdays when I'm running the shop and the make & take.
These pics are from the Saturday afternoon class. If you are ready to take your stamping to a new level, sign up for one of Ken Pesho's fabulous Stampboard classes. This is such a cool technique!
Here we are doing the make & take.
Tip: The Essential Glue Pad from Tsukineko is a fast and easy way to cover a large area with ultra fine glitter. Make sure the glue adhesive has been applied liberally to the Essential Glue Pad and then tap the glue pad directly to the paper layer you want to cover with glitter. After you have the piece covered with the glue, simply sprinkle on the glitter and let it dry. You can find lots of helpful tips using the Glue Pad on the Tsukineko website HERE.

Shop News & Card Idea
More Spellbinder Dies are now in stock!!
CARD IDEA
I have another project to share with you. Lori Barnett created this card using products from the A Muse Back To School release.
The background on the card is an image from the School Time clear set. I love how it adds to the card without taking focus away from the main image. The sentiment is also from the clear set. The new Solid Apple is one of the new wood mounted stamps. I'm sure any teacher would just love to receive this sparkly red apple. :)
TIP: A great way to adhere glitter on solid images is with a product called Simple Stick. This amazing powder is an adhesive used to attach glitter, glass beads and flocking. It's like using embossing powder. Your glitter will not rub off - and it stays sparkly!

Back to School Ideas
When the begining of September rolls around I think of school. So I thought it would be fun to share some school related ideas. A Muse Artstamps just came out with a fabulous line of Back to School products. Lori Barnett, instructor for A Muse, designed this 6 x 6 scrapbook page using some of the new back to school goodies.
The page base is their new Lined Cardstock. I love how Lori created the frame with the ruler stamp from the new School Time set. Clever!! The picture is a standard school wallet photo - and works perfect for this page size. You could very easily create an entire album with 1 page for each school year.
Here's the list of products used to create this project:
A Muse - Lined Cardstock, Black Gingham Cardstock, School Time Set, Birthday Builder Set, Black Dye Ink; Colorbox Chalk Inks - Olive Pastel, Lipstick Red, Charcoal, Amber Clay; EK Success - Small Brackets Punch; Bazzill - Red Cardstock; Misc - Foam Dimensional Tape, Black Brads, Small Hole Punch, Sakura Quickie Glue Pen
I hope you enjoyed this idea. In the next few days I'll have another project to share with you.
Happy Stamping,
Nic
